The COBRA ESD-9117 10 Band Radar/Laser Detector provides 360 degree detection of radar and laser signals, while the Strobe Alert feature can detect tens of thousands of emergency vehicles equipped with traffic light controlling strobe emitters. Though the system is undetectable by VG 2 radar, this system will pick up the signal and alert you. City/highway switch allows the user to select the operating mode, which reduces the frequency of false alarms in densely populated urban areas.

The ESD-9117 Radar Detector is a great radar detector and it has never let me down yet. This is indeed a powerful unit and it detects everything from amazingly far away. I have measure it as far as 3 miles and was not disappointed. Overall this is by far the most excellent detector I have ever seen. It really works well and for all those people, who are interested in buying a quality radar detector, this is the one. Don't waste your money or time with the other brands.
