The Escort Solo S2 Cordless Radar and Laser Detector can detect all of the radar bands currently in use in North America for speed detection. These include the X, K and Ka bands. The unit also features detection diodes for laser detection, but for the most powerful protection from laser detection, Escort offers the ZR3 laser jamming system, which is plug-and-play compatible with the Solo S2. This is indeed a great portable radar detector with almost no false alarms.

It is a great device and it already saved me several times since I started using this device. For a wireless set this unit is one of the best but if you want to connect it to the power (and not use batteries), you can install it at the top of the windshield and run the power cable inside the roof. Overall this is a nice product and has got lots of useful feature, is easy to operate, voice alert is very good and loud enough, and controls are handy.
